Clarissa started working for ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø in 2021 and teaches General Biology and Anatomy &amp; Physiology in the Arts &amp; Sciences Department. Before working at ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø, she taught biology at Warrensburg High School, which she deems an honor to work for her hometown high school. She holds a B.S. in Biology from the University of Central Missouri, a M.S. in Biology from UCM, and an Ed.D. in Teacher Leadership from Maryville University. She has also earned an education degree in Educational Technology from UCM. During her years at ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø, she has served on the Faculty Professional Development Committee, organizing professional development opportunities for faculty. She also serves on the Portfolio Committee and the Insurance Committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Clarissa is always willing to help and is often the first to volunteer. &nbsp;During meetings she is always quick to find answers to questions or locate documents and link them in the chat. &nbsp;Faculty have commented that \u201cshe is always willing to share ideas and help others.\u201d She is passionate about teaching and is generous in sharing her techniques with others. She has led several Professional Development sessions and is generous at sharing teaching tips and techniques. Faculty also respect her attention to detail and her willingness to provide honest feedback. A staff member at the college remarked \u201cShe regularly has an infectious can-do attitude that radiates to every aspect of what she does, and it is a privilege to have her with us.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to her service to faculty, Dr. Brown is a passionate teacher and is willing to go above and beyond for her students. She works closely with the Learning Center and Success Coaches to ensure that success of her students. She has developed creative tools and techniques for student learning which have led to positive outcomes for students. Faculty have shared that \u201cshe seems to always be helping others find their way, even with something simple.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the weekends she likes to take time off and relax. Her hobbies include sewing and visiting museums. She also enjoys hanging out with her dog. Her favorite snacks are kettle corn and La Croix.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Congratulations Clarissa!
