Honor<\/strong> &#8211; National award that honors the artist of the most distinguished American picture book for children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Coretta Scott King<\/strong> &#8211; National award that promotes understanding and appreciation of the culture of all peoples and their contribution to the realization of the American dream by African American authors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Missouri Building Block<\/strong> &#8211; Missouri state award that is voted the most popular by preschool children in Missouri\u2019s public libraries and is designed to encourage reading aloud to children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Newbery Medal &amp; Honor<\/strong> &#8211; National award that honors the author of the most distinguished contribution to American literature for children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Show-Me Reader Award<\/strong> &#8211;
