Professional Development/Continuous Improvement Related To HLC
As a result of feedback from the 2022 Comprehensive Review and in the spirit of ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø’s continuous improvement approach, ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø continues to seek professional learning opportunities to support its continuous improvement efforts:
- ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø engaged the services of Campus Works to facilitate the development of the Your Journey Our Mission Strategic Plan. The additional support and guidance from experts enabled Campus Leadership to learn alongside and fully participate in the process.
- ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø regularly hosts assessment workshops for faculty and staff to enhance the knowledge of student learning assessment and empowering faculty leadership.
- ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø attended the Collaborating on Quality: Preparation for the Comprehensive Evaluation two-day session on June 9th, 2026, and June 16th, 2026, to enhance knowledge for preparation for the 2028 Higher Learning Commission (HLC) visit.
- ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø has recently joined the Association for General and Liberal Studies for continuing education in General Education Assessment. This recommendation came from of participation in the HLC General Education Assessment program.Â
- ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø committed to wider participation in the HLC Annual Conference Spring 2026 and 2027.
- ·¡°ä°ä’s Annual Assessment Showcase is held each Spring to celebrate our success with using data to inform improvements with the student experience and student learning.
ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø is committed to learning and actively seeks assistance from experts in the field to continuously improve.

Spring 2026 — Criterion workgroups assess criteria with evidence and assumed practices
Spring 2026 — Assess Federal Compliance Practices
August 2026 — Presentation on status of Criterion and Federal Compliance workgroups with focus on areas of strength and areas that need more clarification.Â
