Access/Disability Services
Access Services at East Central College empowers students with disabilities by ensuring equal access for academic success, removing institutional and educational barriers to full participation and promoting an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all. This mission is fulfilled by providing logical, reasonable, and necessary accommodations for students in the classroom and across campus.
Students with a diagnosed disability, including but not limited to a visual, hearing, psychiatric, physical, and learning disability are eligible for Access Services. Access Services may ask for documentation before determining eligibility for services. Documentation will vary depending on the disability and individual needs, but it must explain how the disability substantially limits one or more major life activities and supports the accommodations being requested.
Schedule Testing Accommodations

- Test requests must be made 72 hours before the test by filling out the Schedule a Placement Test form
- Ensure supporting disability documentation has been uploaded to the form or presented to Access Services before test accommodations can be used.
- Notify Access Services immediately if any changes are made after the test has been scheduled
Schedule Testing Accommodations
- Test requests must be made 48 hours before test day by filling out the Schedule a Test form
- Confirm the test with accommodations with your instructor
- Notify Access Services immediately if any changes are made after the test has been scheduled
- 鈥婼tudents who accumulate three (3) no-call, no-show testing appointments will no longer be permitted to schedule testing appointments through Access Services. These students may still utilize walk-in testing only if staff availability allows.
